Care Information

Finding your Fit

Bionatura’s anatomical insoles are designed to correct feet development and posture, therefore finding the correct fit is important.

Product width and length measurements are available on each style page. Find our guide to correctly measuring your feet here.

Upon receiving your shoes, it is important to check for the footbed alignment with the natural curvature of your feet. The contours of the footbed should align with the arch comfortably. You should also allow for 5mm gap between your toes and the front of the footbed and another 5mm gap between your heel and the edge of the footbed.

Storage

Storage is a fundamental part of ensuring the longevity of your Bionatura shoes. Ensure they are stored in a dry and well-ventilated area and keep them away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.

Footbed Care

It is important to air your footbeds regularly. Bionatura footbeds are constructed from cork agglomerate, which may be prone to a build-up of odours. Airing the footbeds regularly will help to combat any unwanted odours. We also recommend using an antimicrobial shoe spray to provide additional freshness.

You may also notice that the cork unit may with wear appear as if it is drying and cracking. If it looks like the cork is drying out, we suggest using a product like Cork Renew to restore the fibres.

Leather Care

Smooth Leather

Prior to wearing your new shoes, we recommend spraying them with a high-quality leather waterproofing spray to help repel water and prevent stains. A cream leather polish can be used to remove scuffing and stains.

Nubuck and Suede

To keep your nubuck and suede leather looking its best, it's important to protect it from the elements. Use of a high-quality waterproofing spray designed specifically for Nubuck and Suede leather is recommended. A suede brush is also recommended to remove stains.
